Apprenticeship Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer Apprentice. During the apprenticeship the aim will be to work towards being fully competent in maximising the efficiency of the machinery, including maintenance, testing and installation.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist with mechanical installations for the sludge process including maintenance of centrifuge, drum thickener & bell press maintenance
  • Assist with regular testing and maintenance of machinery
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Resolve problems in a timely manner

Training & Qualification

  • Level 3 Maintenance and operations engineering technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required 

Embedded qualification to ensure all knowledge is provided (Diploma in Engineering Technology)

Training will be delivered one day per week, term time, and is based at The Highfield site at Nottingham College where the facilities are created to enrich the student experience, along with developing them with the necessary skills using industry recognised equipment to ensure the apprentices receives training closely matched to the employer’s and Industry.
